The City & East Councils have left our boroughs with high youth unemployment, under-funded apprenticeships and limited school places. This may be our present. But it doesn’t have to be our future.
I have the courage to stand up to outdated ideas. The leadership to turn adversity into opportunity. And a vision to support the next generation. This is my plan, a Liberal Democrat plan, for our future.
A School Place For Every Child.
I believe that success begins in the classroom. That’s why Liberal Democrats will invest in early childhood education and support the building of new schools in City and East so that every child will have the best start they can in life.
Free School Meals.
A true commitment to education means providing children with everything they need to succeed. In government, the Liberal Democrats fought to bring free school meals to every child and we’ll continue the fight to for them on the London Assembly.
Investing in Apprenticeships.
I’ll fight to invest in London’s future workforce by expanding apprenticeships to help local residents get the skills, qualifications and confidence they need for a successful career.
To truly invest in education we need a representative who can face the challenges of today and seize the opportunities of our future. A future where every child gets the support they need to do our community proud. A future where this generation gives a break to the next. That can be our future.
You have a choice. You can accept things as they are, or you can vote for change. Together we can build a better future. Vote for that future on May 5th. Vote Elaine Bagshaw for our City and East and Caroline Pidgeon and the Liberal Democrats for London.
